The Breed
Pomeranians are beautiful and intelligent little bundles of joy. They love to please and are excellent house pets. Their acute hearing and awareness makes them good indoor watch dogs as well. Pomeranians are very smart dogs and can be taught easily. They are suitable for young and old. They fall under the group 'Toy'. Diet: Monitor their weight as a halve kilogram is a lot in a toy breed. Training: Adequate training and socialization are absolutely essential. Pomeranians are smart little dogs that respond quickly to training. Grooming: The Pomeranians has a long thick double coat that requires frequent grooming. Plan to brush your Pomeranian`s coat at least weekly to remove loose fur and prevent tangles and mats. Pomeranians typically go through heavier seasonal sheds as the weather changes in winter and summer, during which you will have to brush them multiple times a week to keep up with the loose fur. They will also require a sanitary shave around their bum to keep waste from sticking to the fur-a professional groomer can do this for you. Pomeranians should get at least one hour per day of physical activity including walks and paying with toys.
